The narrow spectrum at 311 nm limits the risk of sunburn compared to a full natural UV B spectrum.
They do not limit your sun capital as much as UV A and are much less harmful than the latter which pose the most problems for premature aging of the skin.

UVB phototherapy at home.

Phototherapy uses the known benefits of sunlight to treat diseases such as psoriasis and vitiligo and thus significantly improve the living conditions of affected patients.

The treatment consists of exposing the skin to specific ultraviolet rays: UVB 311 nm, known as "narrow spectrum". Only narrow spectrum UVB (wavelength of 311 nm) is effective, as demonstrated by numerous scientific studies (see below).

They are the most effective for treating these diseases and also the least harmful.

This UVB phototherapy is gaining ground, recently dethroning so-called "classic" PUVA therapy because it is more effective and much less restrictive.
